Anyone who pencils, tints, or mascaras their eyebrows wants them to stay that way. You know the story. Your brows look on point. Then you wake up the next day, and – eye roll – it’s time to tackle them all over again. Whatever your brow goals are, recreating the perfect look every day can be tiresome. Here are some options for low maintenance, high value, long lasting looks.

Brow tinting

Brow tinting involves applying semi-permanent dye to your natural brow. It’s a great middle ground of brow care. You’re not necessarily looking to change the colour of your brows, but instead emphasising your natural colour and enhancing the shape and fullness of your brows.

How long your tint will last depends on a number of factors:

  • Aftercare
  • Dye used
  • Natural hair growth rate

As a rule of thumb, you’re looking at 3-8 weeks of low-maintenance brows. A great choice if you love to change up your look regularly.

Lamination

Brow lamination is like a perm, but for your brows. Instead of making them curly (we wouldn’t do that to you), it shapes and sets your natural brow into your perfect style. The shape is created by brushing up and lifting the natural brow and setting it in its form.

Typically, results will last about six weeks so it’s another good choice for you beauty addicts out there that love to mix it up. If your goal is making your brows fuller and better shaped, then lamination ticks that box too.

Microblading

Similar to a tattoo, microblading is a semi-permanent eyebrow styling method created by making superficial cuts and using colour pigment styled in light, hair-like strokes. You have a numbing agent that keeps you from feeling it, and it’s all worth it. At the end you have fuller, more natural looking brows; a MAJOR glow up.

You’ll need a top-up session after about 6-8 weeks to make sure the pigment has sunk in and to fill in any gaps. But once they’ve healed, you’re left with SICK brows for the next couple of years.

Ombré brows

If you prefer a more natural finish, ombré brows give a softer, shaded, pencil brow look. A non-invasive alternative to microblading, it can be a good choice for those after a more subtle style. Similar to the hair-colouring method, the ombré method creates a more natural brow, adding depth and definition. Just like microblading, this is a more permanent option that will last you a few years.

So, which is the best choice? Whether you want perfectly manicured brows 24/7, a quick fill in here and there, or you’d rather leave those bad boys alone entirely, it’s completely up to you. Your choice will depend on how much you love to change your style, the finish you want to achieve, and how long you want the results to last. Whichever option you choose, ditch that tedious morning routine and book in for semi-permanent brow goals on Beautystack.
